The Gallery’s lecture series is designed to educate audiences about the evolution of shorthand. The following presentation topics are currently available as lecture presentations, at the Gallery or other venues.

Shorthand and The Life and Death of Abraham Lincoln
A fascinating look at the role of shorthand in the Lincoln-Douglas Debates and the observations of the shorthand reporter the night Lincoln was assassinated.
The Gallery of Shorthand is exploring the feasibility of teaching historical aspects of shorthand as a court reporting educational prerequisite.

Since the September 2010 Grand Opening of The Gallery, shorthand historian Dom Tursi has authored numerous monographs and presented both to the legal community and court reporting groups throughout the United States .
He also has been keynote speaker at several state and national events.
In 2013 he was invited to address an assemblage of speech-capture professionals from 37 countries in Ghent, Belgium.
